How a child's day goes at Cushion
- 01Early morning
Step 1: Arrival
The first families come in from 5:30 am. Each child enters through their room's door and a teacher greets them.

Step 2: Breakfast
Served in the room at low tables, with the teachers.
- 03Morning
Step 3: Play and circle
Blocks, paint and books, then circle time with a short Bible story and a song.
- 04Midday
Step 4: Outdoor time
Every room goes out to the fenced yard, in layers when it is cold.
- 05Midday
Step 5: Lunch and rest
Lunch first, then clean hands and a rest on cots or in cribs.
- 06Afternoon
Step 6: Snack and pickup
A teacher hands each child over at the room door. The center closes at 5:30 pm.
From the door to the yard
Hello and goodbye
A teacher meets each family at the room door, and the goodbye stays short and warm.
The yard
Each room goes out to the fenced yard with its own teacher, and the gate stays latched.
Rest time
Each child rests on a cot in a softly lit room, with a teacher nearby.
Story time
Babies and toddlers hear a picture book on the sofa or the floor mat.
